Did you know? Saint Paul was known by his Jewish name “Saul” before his conversion to Christiaity. In the 1st century, he was travelling from Jerusalem to Damascus in order to persecute early Christians, when on his way Jesus Christ appeared to him and struck him blind. Once in Damascus, he was cured and baptised as a Christian by Saint Ananias. Saint Paul was then smuggled out of Damascus in a basket near Bab Kissan to go on from there and spread Christianity all over the world....
