Background

Family roots are from the town of Kalamoun in rural Damascus.
The family house is now located in Bab Touma neighbourhood of Damascus old city.
Studied until primary school and then inherited along with his brothers the wooden mosaics craft from their father.
Has been working in this craft for over 50 years.
