Prince Saeed Al-Jazairi is the grandson of Prince Abdul Kader Al-Jazairi. He was the first Prime Minister of Syria after the liberation from the Ottomans and before the start of the French Mandate.

Prince Saeed’s summer palace is located next to that of his grandfather’s. In 1928, it was the setting of the first Syrian film ever made.
