Dating back to the middle of the 13th century, this building was commissioned by the Ayyubid Prince Seif Eddine Al-Qaimari to serve as a hospital.It is one of only three similar ancient hospitals in Damascus.Located next to the tomb of Ibn Arabi in the Salihiya Quarter, Al-Bimaristan Al-Qaimari was renovated in the first half of the 16th century during the early Ottoman Period.
